The Winemaking
Sourced from a range of quality vineyards, grapes are picked at optimum flavour ripeness and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged on oak for around six months adding a subtle oak influence and allowing the fruit to really express itself. After gentle fining and filtering it is bottled and ready to go.
The Wine
Classic blackcurrant Cabernet fruit abounds with hints of violets, mint and chocolate. Soft tannins flesh out a medium bodied palate full of ripe blackberry and plum with subtle vanilla oak. Give it plenty of time to breathe then sit back and enjoy the good times.
The Food
This is a beautiful food wine, pairing well with red meat dishes and roasted vegetables. Think rich beef lasagne and buttery garlic bread or homemade lamb souvlaki with crunchy lettuce, ripe tomatoes and creamy garlic sauce. Our favourite time to enjoy this wine is at the end of a good meal with close friends, served next to crumbly, vintage cheddar, crusty sourdough and slices of crisp pear or apple.
