Like most classic tales, it began with a love story.  Boy (Adrian) meets Girl (Rebecca) in 1999 and their dream to one day make wine begins.  Fast forward more than 10 years and they finally they get the chance to live their dream, with a little help from some Naked Angels...

Since meeting all those years ago, it's been our dream to one day, make wine of our own.  For years we've both worked at various wineries around the world, discovering wine, drinking wine, loving wine.

 

In 2007 we returned to Melbourne after travelling and working in the UK and Italy, to settle down.  Over the next five years we began working at various wineries, saving our money and patiently waiting for the right opportunity to start making our own wine.  Late nights were spent working on brand concepts and funding possibilities.  It was during this time the Boy Meets Girl brand was formed - but we had no way to bring it to life.

 

That opportunity came in 2012 when Naked Wines, a UK based online retailer with a membership of more than 200,000 Angel members came to Australia, headhunting winemakers for their new Australian operation.  They loved Boy Meets Girl and asked if we wanted in.  We didn't hesitate to say yes.

 

It's because of Naked Wines and their many, many Angels that Boy Meets Girl exists, so there will always be a selection of wines that we make for them, sold exclusively through their online store only.  It's our small way of saying thank you to all those Angels that took a chance on an unknown couple.
